VINTAGE ADS: Halloween Beverage Magazine Ads

Vintage magazine ads have so much character! I love the images and the ad copy.

There are lots of clever things you can do with magazine ads, as well – everything from home decor to custom placemats. Make sure to scroll to the bottom of this page for a list of creative ideas.

Here are some of my favorite Halloween beverage magazine ads for you to enjoy. Do you remember any of them?

Coke – That’s using your pumpkin!

Pepsi – America’s wearing a grin these days… and Pepsi is part of the mood!

7-Up – A happy child is a popular one…

Kool-Aid – Treat a host of ghosts with one package of Kool-Aid

Budweiser – When you know your beer… it’s bound to be Bud

Schlitz – Light refreshment is half the fun!

Blatz – Your face will light up, too!

Ballantine Ale – That’s Ale brother!

Seagram’s 5 Crown – Every “witch” way…

Sirnoff – A devilishly dry proposition.

Creative Uses for Vintage Ads

There are many ways you can use vintage ads – both in your home decor and for your art projects. Here are some ideas to get you started:

  • Save this image to your computer (right-click and choose “Save Image As”, then use the digital copy in your digital art projects.
  • Resize the digital image and use it as a cover for a handmade notepad or travel journal.
  • Print a color copy of the ad, frame it and hang it in your home or office – a fun blast from the past.
  • Print color copies and use them as gift wrap for small gifts – especially fun for people who love vintage.
  • Print enlarged color copies of the digital file, then laminate the copies and use them as placemats – sure to be a conversation starter at the dinner table.
  • Use printed color (or black and white) copies for your decoupage projects (laser printer copies work better than ink jet copies).
  • Print the ad on iron-on transfer paper and create t-shirts, tote bags, napkins, and other craft ideas with fabric.
  • Turn printed copies of the ad into paper garland. Just trim the paper into any shape you prefer (such as a pennant flag), punch two holes in the top and thread twine through the holes to create a garland.
