More Weird Minnesota Laws…
Did you know that in Minnesota, if a woman impersonates Santa Clause, she could face up to 30 days in prison.
From a 1937 law – In Minnesota, it’s illegal to drive a car in neutral. (Not only is it illegal, that’s a pretty good trick, too!)
In Clearpoint, Minnesota, people cannot play checkers at the airport “Lest they acquire a taste for gambling.” (Uffda! Hide the children!)
So there you have it, a few more weird state laws! Know of any crazy laws in your state? Share them in a comment below!
Ha Ha! One would think someone would be checking these old peculiar laws!
Those are hilarious!! Knowing that Illinois must have some strange ones too, I had to check and here’s a couple:
Law forbids eating in a place that is on fire. (Good idea!)
It is forbidden to fish while sitting on a giraffe’s neck. (I bet the giraffe is relieved!)
Can’t help but laugh at these laws! Makes you wonder WHO in the world thought them up and for what purpose! I’ll remember not to try fishing on a giraffe when I’m in Illinois! Thanks for the chuckle and for sharing @GirlPickers!
I’m curious why it was thought necessary to make a law regarding women dressed as Santa! I love stuff like this, we have our fair share of bizarre laws in Blighty too, For example it is illegal to be under the influence of alcohol when in a pub…
